Read that as tandoori marinated salmon…

It’s been quite some time now since my last foodie related shot for my w52 project. I really like spending time on foodie themed shot(s), but it takes some time setting up the food/subject for the shoot and by the time I got it all setup and ready to shoot, someone is already hungry at home :)

Overall I am a tad bit satisfied with this shot – with 60mm macro, this shot ended up as a macro..may be next time I have to stick to my 50mm prime for foodie shot(s).

  1. That Salmon looks and sounds so good! Macro came pretty good, I think!

  2. Now this is just unfair to show someone who hasn’t had dinner yet :) Excellent shot, I don’t think I know anyone who can make food look this appetizing on screen.

  3. delicious shot, wonderful presentation

  4. Time to share the recipe, Sasi….

    • Here is the recipe for Tandoori Salmon

We tried multiple tanddori masalas and finally settled with Periyar Tandoori Masala (http://www.periyar.com/tandoori-masala) – less in sodium, and the ingredients are pronounceable ;) Further no MSG.

Anyway make the marinade as suggested – my wife mentioned omitting yogurt for this recipe. Apply marinade to the fish and refrigerate for about an hour. When the grill is ready, spray the grill with non-stick spray and grill non-skin side down for about 6 minutes (depends on the thickness of the fillet) and gently turn it and grill it on the skin side for about 3 minutes.

      Enjoy!!

  5. I am not much of a Salmon person but man, this sure makes me want to try a piece! Sorry I’ve been away from commenting, hopefully this week I’ll be able to catch up. :D

  6. This looks decadent. Great shot of the salmon.

Thanks for stopping by the new site, I really appreciate it.

  7. Looks like it was worth the work. Very nice foodie shot and personally, I like the macro perspective. It shows off the tasty details and texture of the salmon. Makes me want to have salmon for dinner. :)

  8. Wow, that looks absolutely delicious! Wonderful “foodie” shot!

  9. That looks amazing! Would love if you’d email the recipe. :) bonniegunkel@gmail.com
