Continuing with my summer blooms shots ;)

Shot this at a park close home. As I was experimenting with my POV, I noticed the lighting on this particular plant was interesting. There were tall grasses behind these bushes and with the evening sunlight half of this particular bush was in shade and the other half was well-lit.

Really liked the way the lighting turned out in this shot. I think it gives a feel that this bloom was lit by a flash.

  1. Beautiful shot Sasi. I agree with you… the lighting is interesting. Love the way it brings out the details and texture of the flower.

  2. Beautifully detailed shot. Love the echo of the subject flower, in the background. As good as this one looks onscreen, I have a feeling it would look even better in print.

  3. Love it, love it love it. The light is perfect and so are the details. Great eye!

  4. Lovely – the second flower looked like a reflection to me.

  5. Great shot… lovely DOF

  6. Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. I agree with Nikhil about the echo of the second flower. Somehow I noticed it immediately, but not in a distracting way, in a supportive way.

  7. Wonderful detail and composition! The center of the flower almost looks woven.

  8. Perfect composition and depth of field Sasi!

  9. Wow. The sharp details, shallow depth of field, and colors are amazing.
