That’s the leaf on our plantain tree that has been indoors during the entire winter.

As you could see it’s under stress (as seen by the sap on the leaf) and it’s raring for some fresh air. I think it’s about time for this to be left out in the patio.

  1. I’m under stress too! (because of the weather that is)
Great shot. I like the composition, the highlights/shadows and the lines. Nicely done.

  2. What a great macro shot! Love the details, textures and patterns shown so vividly.

  3. Strong lines, nice color. Poor plant. Don’t put it out overnight yet.

    • Temperature drops considerably overnight and these plants won’t tolerate cold nights. That’s the reason all our tropical plants are still in-house.

  4. i think that getting the horizontal line of the vein of the leaf is a great contrast to all the diagonals.

    I really like this shot

  5. Beautiful use of the available light to emphasize the shapes and lines. You are a master of available light.

  6. Awesome Sasi, just awesome. I love the lines in this shot.

  7. Great detail and composition. I like the color and lighting too.
