I was quite surprised to see snow when I woke up early this AM..and we thought spring was in the air.

Anyway weather seems to be warming up rest of the week and will have to see if I get some time to get out of home and take some shots.

Shot this roman shade this evening as my son was watching snow and counting cars ;)

I was drawn by the lines and curves..still don’t know how I missed this earlier.

  1. You’ve been concentrating on different subjects for a while, it’s not surprising that you found inspiration nearby. It happens to me all the time too. And it never fails to shock me when something suddenly appears from where it’s been hiding in plain view.

Great shot by the way, this one is all about the windows. There is a deep metaphor to be found here, but its been a long day :)

  2. Snow, that’s surprising, but I’m not surprised by your wonderful capture and perspective. The processing gives it an interesting feel, like I am stepping back in time. Love it! Maybe it would make a nice gift for your neighbor’s living room. ;) They might like to see themselves from your view.

  3. Well… I was surprised to see snow in your picture. Thought this must have been taken last month. Nice composition. I really like how you used the shade and window for framing the house across the street. Very creative. :)

  4. love the shadows on the shade and its texture
I see the rule of thirds too …
    Great work

  5. Nicely framed! There are several interesting layers to this shot – the shade, the neat, even window frames, the snowy scene outside… I really like it! It’s funny – we have one window with these sorts of frames in it, and I was *just* thinking about shooting out that window. I don’t have a nice view out there though, so I haven’t quite figured out what to do with it.

    Great job!

  6. Great shot Sasi! Sorry to see the snow’s back, we’re vacillating between snow and spring here too. It’ll make up it’s mind soon enough :D

  7. perfect frame and tonality… nice work

  8. Oh, yikes. Snow. I have no idea what the weather is like where I live because I am presently in Hawaii. The weather here is Wonderful.

  9. Nice shot Sasi, as usual you do a good job of the Sepia processing, this has a nice depth to it, not only in terms of space but in thought :-)
