Waiting…
Shot this at a park near home as I was waiting for my daughter to get back from her chess club meet. It was about 5pm and the Sun was just about to set.
I really like the shadow of the tree upon the melting snow/ice, warmth and glow of the evening sunlight in this sunset shot.

Very nice! It’s a great sunset shot, and I am partial to tree shots. Trees, especially in the fall and winter when they have no leaves, their true shapes, their true selves become strikingly apparent.
The glow of the sun off of the snow is fabulous! It makes it look almost warm.
Beautifully composed shot. You used the foreground and background in a very effective combination. I think the composition would have worked no matter the lighting conditions, but the sunset is a real bonus. Nicely done.
