Shot from a community event couple of days ago that I get to shoot pictures. This time I tried using my 50mm f/1.4 prime for shooting this event – so it was bit of a challenge for close-ups.
As the event was starting up, one of friend delivered the inaugural speech and I noticed the gentleman standing in front of me adjust the lcd viewer on his video camera.
I went for this composition with the focus set on lcd viewer and making sure not to cut off my friend by the podium.

I particularly like the way you included the hand adjusting the LCD. This is an excellent composition and a creative portrait. Tells an interesting story, always a good way to set a photo. Nicely done.

Really nice image. I like the softness of the depth of field and that you can still see the speaker in the background.
