Aperture:f/3.5
Focal Length:29mm
Shutter:1/2000 sec

Shot this basket ball sized sculpture (these are part of hand rails) on the bridge close by Roosevelt and State Street in downtown Chicago.

For folks not familiar with Chicago skyline, the skyscraper in the background is the Willis Towers (aka Sears Tower)

  1. Awesome Sasi. This image has great depth. You managed to capture a Chicago Land Mark as well as other city art. Great colors and textures.

  2. I like the interesting contrast between the modern signs of civilization set behind an ornamentation which evokes an earlier era. Even if it is a modern ornamentation, it is not something you see anymore where expediency and the bottom line trumps little decorations on our constructions that make you happy, even if you don’t really notice them.

This is precisely the kind of thing that photography is perfect for; to remind us that as great as thriftiness can be, sometimes our spiritual needs have to be considered also.

  3. Great photo Sasi, I love that the skyline is present and can even be identified! What an interesting sculpture, loving the shots from Chicago.

  4. I love the depth in this too! Awesome work on this!
