One thing I have been wanting to try before finishing up my Photo 365 project is with street photography. I had a perfect opportunity to try it out last night.  Went for a walk along Michigan Ave last night for about an hour.

One big issue that I had to toil with during my walk was bitter cold weather. I think the temperature was in the teens and the wind chill was 9F. May be I should try doing this again in summer time.

Shot this while folks were waiting for the signal to cross the road.

I picked this one amongst other shots for its festive mood and anticipation of waiting…

  1. Nice, freely composed street shot. By loosening up the composition you captured very effectively the dynamism of the scene. Nicely done.

  2. This is a great street photo. I like the theme of anticipation especially as we prepare to finish our projects!

  3. Great street shot. I like it! I was just down there. I really like that you included the background.

  4. I really like how the hood has captured the light (or…perhaps the light capturing the hood eh)! I really like how you captured this image, street photography is something I have yet to try (but will).

  5. I like all of the lights in the background. Nice shot.

  6. This is another great glimpse into city life. Great work!
