Bought this little T-Rex toy for $1.00 at Walmart on Saturday.
When I bought this, I had in mind to try spot lighting/shot with this little guy but thought I should try a silhouette for today’s post.
I’m pretty pleased with the outcome this evening – spent only a couple of minutes on this shot. Besides converting from RAW to JPEG there wasn’t any PP involved.

Great silhouette! How did you light it?
Elli, I shot the T-Rex seated with the sunset in the foreground – hence you see the variation in the sky color. I had to do this real quick as the Sun was setting fast.
That’s an interesting concept, I like the variation in the background lighting. I’ve been trying to figure out an interesting way to photograph my son’s toys all year, you always do an excellent job of it, but whenever I try it never comes out correctly.
This is such a fun portrait of the dinosaur. It’s a great silhoutte as well.
