  1. Reduce and Simplify (Chris Orwig’s mantra) – and this is a good example, simple clean lines, clean conversion. I like it for the sheer simplicity it brings.

Some my comments on WX this month have been about the overly complex images submitted – this is opposite, I don’t think it would win any awards but is like a breath of fresh air nonetheless.

    Brhum

  2. Funny how our standards change as we learn more and more about this hobby and craft. I am sure if you had taken such an intriguing, well designed shot a year or more ago you would have been very pleased. I have a few photos myself I thought were brilliant just 6 months ago that I now find endless flaws with.

In my opinion, for what its worth, this shot is very good. The inky blacks, and the bright white contrast in the sliver of open door is an excellent interpretation of the assignment.

  3. I like it too. In your defense, it’s not a very inspiring subject matter! :)

  4. I like it! It arouses the curiosity.

  5. Nicely done Sasi. Today’s assignment was a little difficult to “inspire” for sure, your photo has inspired me to get more creative with B&W shots. :D

  6. spectacular sharpness, awesome charm

  7. I think you did a great job on this assignment! It’s very creative. There’s mystery about it, and as has already been said, the contrasts are striking. Nice work!

  8. nice picture machan…

  9. bathrooms are a tough subject to find inspiring – for the most part. but this is mainly about the variation in tones from the pale greys to the rich inky blacks.
