Today’s daily shoot assignment: Make a photograph that plays two complementary colors off of each other today.

We have this book house close to where we live and I went there this evening to shoot some pictures for TDS assignment. I had to underexpose this shot a tad bit to bring out the “blue” in the sky.

There is a bonus picture for day:273 –> here.

  1. Great Daily Shoot entry. You’ve also got the complementary colors in the red and green grass. I think. :) Interesting building.

  2. Apart from the complimentary colours assignment, this is an interesting scene. I quite like how you’ve composed it. I cannot decide whether I like this better or your bonus photo. The bonus photo has the impact of simplicity and starkness, but this one has the interest and depth of complexity. Overall a good day of photography for you.

  3. I like this image because it draws me in, it interest me. It makes my brain think, “what else is there? When that door is opened, what’s it look like inside”

You lost nothing by underexposing yet gained so much! Love the contrasting colors and especially the color of the sky.
