Today’s daily shoot assignment: Find a scene that’s dominated by one color and make a photograph of it. Use light and shadow to accentuate detail.
When I saw this assignment this morning, what came to my mind of green leaves on our hydrangea bush. But later this morning as I was looking for other interesting things inside our house, I noticed dark shadows and domination of single color on our drapery. So decided to go with the drapery for this assignment.

nice colour and texture. was it intentional that you cut of the curved line of the hem? It might have been interesting to follow the curves throughout the shot.
Yes Jo. It got cropped as I tried straightening the overall shot.
I love the composition, color, shadows and texture. I think it would be better to crop the bottom so the wall doesn’t show. Great job though.
