Today’s daily shoot assignment: Look for an area with a big differential in light. Make a photo exposed for the brightest area, isolating a subject.

Yep that’s me staring at the monitor – you may call it a self-portrait ;)

I had a totally different idea for today’s daily shoot assignment with something to shoot in the backyard and that changed with the rain this evening. So as I was looking for differential in light indoor, I saw our bright monitor and decided to go with this self-portrait to incorporate the idea for today’s assignment - I have to admit, self-portrait was the last thing I had in mind.

I shot this in manual mode and took the meter reading based on the monitor (brightest area) and isolating the subject (that would be me).

This is SOOC and I like the way it turned out.
