Netflix/Roku – that’s how we relax these days. No live TV or cable for us – although kids like watching PBS on OTA channels :)

As I had few minutes to kill this afternoon I was going over other ROKU channels besides Netflix and noticed this reflection on our coffee table. So I had this shot using Nikon 50mm. To get a better reflection of TV on the coffee table, I had to pull down the curtains – hence this was shot @f16 for 30sec exposure. I like the way it turned out.

Those scratches on the coffee table – credit to our kids ;)

  1. Interesting shot. It’s weird coincedence, but I was actually building a shot with the tv remote for today too.

  2. Very cool! This is the first coffee table reflection I’ve seen!

  3. Great reflection. I agree with Elli, It’s the first time I see a reflection on a coffee table. Nice work.

  4. I like the texture that the scratches add. Of course the also add a sense of real life goes on here.

  5. Interesting reflection subject. I actually like the scratches. It adds to the image.

  6. The things we see !! The reflection does make the image !! Wonderfully captured !!

  7. Love the reflection in the table! Happy father’s day.

  8. Very creative reflection.

  9. It turned out very sharp and the reflection is really clear. I’ll have to check into Roku now.

  10. We don’t watch live tv either. We record any shows we watch then watch them without ads. We also subscribe to Netflix but I don’t know what Roku is. Nice reflection. The scratches add life to your image.

    • Judy, Roku is a little electronic box about the size of 5×4 photo with built-in wi-fi, to stream electronic content to your TV. Besides Netflix, they stream Amazon video-on-demand, podcast, video podcast, live radio etc. It’s another tech gadget and we are extremely satisfied with.

  11. What a creative angle, isn’t that great when a picture presents itself like that?! I like the scratches too, makes it feel homey.
